YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES

Kenneth L. Merritt is the director of our Young Adult Ministries 18-30 year old. Kenny is an ordained minister and facilitator for the young adult ministry at Family Fellowship Center. Kenny graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Calvary Theological Seminary with a degree in Christian Counseling and a Minor in Christian Education. His notable and distinct skills as a counselor, educator, and life consultant have just as much to do with his life experiences as they do with his education. Kenny believes that life is truly and adventure and that we have been created to embrace and enjoy the adventure rather than just endure or survive it. His intention, actions, dedication, and experience reflect that belief. Kenny has been the C.E.O. at Starfish Adventures Inc., a counseling and life consulting organization since 2008. In 1997, he developed a successful discipleship program for troubled youth and their families. For seven years he was a Parent Liaison who worked with students, parents, teachers, and administrators for the Manatee County School District. Kenny has been a facilitator and director of professional experiential education programs since 2002. He was Men’s Ministry leader at The Bridge Church of Palma Sola Bay from 2003 until 2011. Kenny continues to support our community by volunteering his time and services to families, churches, and local programs. Kenny’s desire is to provide a safe environment, which empowers the people to transform into affirming, enriching, and supportive members of the community.
